About the company

Carlton Contracts Ltd was founded in 1986 as a specialist installer of suspended ceilings and internal partitioning systems. Throughout the next 10 years Carlton contracts traded successfully working as a specialist Sub-Contractor involved in some of the North West major construction projects.

In 1994, Carlton Contracts Ltd began to diversify its role within the interiors sector and began to extend its range of services offered to clients in order that as a single Company, Carlton Contracts Ltd was able to offer a single solution for a whole range of interior installations, both in the new build and the growing refurbishment market.

In 1995, this initiative resulted in the Company being awarded the total Maintenance package of all internal office areas for BAE Systems at Warton Lancashire. This contract worth approximately £0.75 M per annum was also supplemented by the addition of specialist “Turnkey” projects from the large re-building projects also undertaken at this time. To aid the level of resources available to it, Carlton Contracts acquired Tom Finney Acoustics Ltd in 1997, one of the longest established ceiling and partitioning contractors in the North West.

Since 1997, Carlton Contract have maintained their relationship with BAE Systems working throughout the UK on a variety of new build and refurbishment projects and Carlton Contracts have continued offering this full service to a whole host of other end users, whilst maintaining a service to other sectors of the construction Industry under the Tom Finney banner. Recent clients include AXA Insurance, Allen Build Construction, Scottish Southern, Carillion, to name but a few.

More recently, Carlton Contracts have been working in a partnering arrangement with Halfords on their Mezzanine Floor Installations within their retail outlets and have, over the last three years, completed over 100 such installations throughout the UK, Eire and Europe, with an approximate value of £1.5M.

Of recent note was the £1.5 M Fit Out package awarded to Carlton Contracts by Italian Contractor Co-Ver Edile at the UK’s largest Print works at Speke, Liverpool for the Prinovis organisation. This scheme required the construction of some of the highest British Gypsum partition walls ever constructed in the UK and required their installation after printing production had commenced.
